James Bond, also known as Agent 007, is one of the world's most successful literary and motion picture franchises, and has codified the spy fiction genre. The novels and films have been set at locations around the world, most of them available to visit.

James Bond's original author Ian Fleming wanted to write the "spy story to end all spy stories", and produced twelve books from 1953 to 1966. Bond is mainly a product of Cold War Europe, in which the Soviet Union was the main antagonist. As of the 2010s, Bond has been the main character of 26 feature films, portrayed by seven different actors. The franchise has also expanded to other media, such as video games and animated series.

While interior scenes of the films have usually been recorded in Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, most exterior scenes have been shot at the actual locations. Most exceptions have been scenes in the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War, which were recorded elsewhere.

Commander James Bond CMG RN (April 13, 1968 – July, 2020) was a Senior Operational Officer of the Double-O Section, an ultra-covert Black Ops unit within the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). As an agent of MI6, Bond holds cryptonym "007" The '00' prefix indicates his discretionary license to kill in the performance of his duties. He was invented and developed by British author and former naval intelligence officer Ian Fleming. He served as the main protagonist of the 007 reboot franchise.

Daniel Craig was the sixth official actor to appear as James Bond and was doubled by stunt-performers Ben Cooke and Jay Richardson. The character appeared in Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021). • I felt I was caught in a time warp between Roger and Sean. It was a very hard one to grasp the meaning of, for me. The violence was never real, the brute force of the man was never palpable. It was quite tame, and the characterisation didn’t have a follow-through of reality, it was surface.
