As a founding member and Manager of Pikewood Creative, Tony Caridi is responsible for generating new business development, fostering client relationships, and directing the Pikewood team in its creative trajectory. With a passion for communicating, Tony’s goal is to develop innovative strategies through effective storytelling to help clients reach their potential.
Tony is a prominent figure in the collegiate sports world as the play-by-play announcer for the West Virginia University Mountaineers and host of his own nightly statewide sports radio talk show. He has done play-by-play for ESPN, Westwood One, the BIG EAST, Prime, and Atlantic 10 among others, and is the sports director for MetroNews Radio Network. Nearing 30 years in the business, Tony is a loved personality, a natural conversationalist, and an esteemed business leader. His ability to convey a story in fresh, exciting ways has allowed him to excel in diverse athletic and corporate environments.
Tony has earned prominent accomplishment awards such as West Virginia Sportscaster of the Year and Best Network Play-By-Play for Mountaineer Football by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association. As a professional public speaker, Tony expounds on topics ranging from sports to marketing and his personal observations on what leads to a successful team.
Hailing from Lockport, NY, Tony had a unique background in marketing, customer service, and communication from a young age, growing up in a family that owned a grocery store. He graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science in broadcast journalism.

Tony Caridi (born September 8, ) is a children's book author and an American sportscaster for West Virginia University's Mountaineer Sports Network and West Virginia Radio Corporation's Metronews Radio Network.
Early life
Caridi was born on September 8, , in Lockport, New York. Caridi's desire to become a play-by-play announcer was inspired by his experiences listening to the NBA's Buffalo Braves, the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, and the NFL's Buffalo Bills.
Education
Caridi graduated from Lockport High School in He attended the State University of New York at Geneseo and studied communications as a freshman and sophomore. An internship with Clip Smith at ABC affiliate WKBW-TVBuffalo made Caridi realize he needed more of a challenge. He transferred to Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Upon graduating from Syracuse in , Caridi worked for WHEN Radio in Syracuse doing overnight news.
At Syracuse, Caridi was a classmate of prominent national sportscasters. His peers included Sean McDonough of ESPN and Monday Night Football; Dan Hoard, Voice of the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Bearcats; Greg Papa, former Voice of the Oakland Raiders and currently the San Francisco 49ers; Bill Roth, former Voice of the Virginia Tech Hokies and former Voice of the UCLA Bruins; Jim Jackson, Voice of the Philadelphia Flyers; Rich Cimini, New York Jets reporter for ; and Craig Minervini of the WWE.
Career
Caridi arrived in West Virginia in , and expected to stay for a few months when he was hired by Hoppy Kercheval to work afternoon news for WAJR-AM Morgantown. Anthony Joseph Caridi (born ) is an American author, and the former executive director of Marketing and Public Relations at The AlamoNational Historic Site in San Antonio, Texas. He has also been a television spokesman and the host of the KENS-TV (CBS affiliate) morning segment, "Brain-Teasers". He is the author of the non-fiction memoir Neglected Legacy: Saving the Alamo from the Saviors which details his experience with the embattled all-female organization, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, who fought to retain their century-long stewardship of the historic site.
