Keane recently shared a picture wearing the same Ireland jersey, before an Ireland Under game, alongside his friend Paul McCarthy.

Keane called McCarthy, who died of a suspected heart attack in , “one of the best” teammates he has ever played with.

Great memories

Roy Keane may not have always had the best times in an Ireland shirt &#; particularly in the latter stages &#; but there are still plenty of memories he looks back on with happy thoughts.

His time under Jack Charlton was perhaps his favourite time with the boys in green and in the latest episode of Stick to Football, recalled one of his favourite moments while on international duty.

Given that the Cork native made 67 appearances over 14 years, he played with many teammates throughout his time with Ireland.

Although not a regular, the Scottish-born striker made seven appearances for the Republic of Ireland and was regularly involved with the squad.

Fair to say that this would&#;ve been quite the sight had Slavin actually been subbed on with a jersey decorated with his teammates&#; signature.
