Asad umar reply to javed hashmi biography
ISLAMABAD: A lawmaker for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Thursday said that party chief Imran Khan's recent statement on Pakistani Taliban was not an official PTI policy statement.
Asad Umar, a lawmaker for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI), stated in a conference that the idea for establishing an office for peacetalks with the Taliban was not an official party policy. He added that the statement only reflected the personal views of the PTI leader.
Umar added that it was wrong to criticise those who wished to use peacetalks as a way to fight the rampant terrorism in the country and come to terms with the terrorists. However, he added that peacetalks go hand in hand with cooperation from the other side.
Umar declared that it was a weakness to insist on peacetalks if terror attacks continued, saying that it was unfair to the country.
Earlier, Imran Khan had stated that it was imperative to have a political office for the Taliban where peacetalks between the government and the Taliban could be held. He insisted that the absence of such an office would hinder negotiations, assisting in the continuation of the decade-long war against terror.
He also referred to the Afghan Taliban office in Qatar officiated by the United States (US) government to facilitate the dialogue process some months prior, stressing that the government should take negotiations seriously.
ISLAMABAD: As Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri left their containers for separate meetings with the army chief on Thursday night, leaders from across the political spectrum regretted that things had to come to this juncture, where the military would get involved in a political issue.
The most significant reaction came from a PTI leader.
Former PML-N stalwart Javed Hashmi, who is known for his outspoken opposition to military’s involvement in politics, said “After this, we will not be able to hold our heads high. It is shameful time for all politicians who, despite having the time, could not resolve the crisis on their own”.
Speaking to a TV channel, he said that real democracy would only flourish in the country when politicians were able to make their own decisions. The most one can expect from the army is the role of a guarantor between two parties, said Mr Hashmi.
When pressed, Mr Hashmi explained he was known as “Mr Naraaz” within the party for his propensity towards taking principled stand. He stressed that he would never accept martial law in the country.
“This is end of democracy, the Constitution and supremacy of the parliament in the country,” said retired Justice Tariq Mehmood when he heard of General Raheel Sharif’s intervention to defuse the ongoing crisis.
This is the same Justice Mehmood who was at the forefront of the lawyers’ movement, which was brought to fruition by the intervention of another military chief, Gen Sharif’s predecessor Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
“I feel no shame in admitting that military intervention was wrong then and it is wrong now. But considering that all political parties in the country were trying to resolve the impasse, having the army chief mediating between the quarrelling sides is something which will be remembered as a moment of collective disgrace for all politicians across the political spectrum,” he said, adding that Gen Kayani’s involvement wasn’t as overt as Gen Sharif’s has been.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar plans turning Islamabad into the country’s economic hub if elected to parliament.
“Islamabad being the capital should be linked to the global network to make the city an economic hub by diversifying strategies like Bangalore and Dhaka,” said the PTI leader contesting for the NA-48 Islamabad by-elections.
In an interview with The Express Tribune he stated “it’s absolutely critical to devolve power to village councils—once we have a political system in place in Islamabad," adding that it was shameful for any government to not being able to provide drinking water in the federal capital.
Elaborating his plan of action he said that he would implement the party’s institutional reforms similar to the ones being implemented by the PTI in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa which revolved around empowering citizens.
Being the party’s central senior vice president, he wished to transfer power to village councils and vowed to raise the matter up in the National Assembly. “Islamabad will be a global capital of knowledge—youth must be given education,” he said, adding that “It is a shame that the government is cutting down on the higher education budget. PTI aims to increase the budget four- to five-fold.”
He also said that the party aimed to increase the percentage of children receiving vocational training to 20% to 25%.
By kicking off his door to door campaign, Umar is contesting in the upcoming July by-elections after the seat was vacated by PTI Central President Javed Hashmi who defeated Anjum Aqil of PML-N.

JH clearly had misconception .. he even asked to bring Quran here so his secretary can take oath ...
with his age and health conditions it is not a surprise that he would freak out on simple things ...
if you compare it with the blunt lies IK and PTI is putting now a days .. i can still call him pillar of truth ..
you should take out time and watch complete IK speech .. its 70% lies and over exaggerations ....
that said ... yes he did take back his allegations about source of long march .. he is just human .. he has conveyed his message and everyone knows who engineered this long march .. after that, it doesnt matter much if he changes his statements ..
Bro don't act like JH now..the person who cant tell right from wrong, truth or false, how can that person convey a truthful message? iam sorry but everyone eventhe paid anchors know that there was no london plan, blame game has gone for too long, nothing happened during the Azaadi march that has indicated that its all playing out according to any plan, no martial law can be implemented, no chief justice has helped IK in ousting the PM, ISI nor the Army has helped IK in ousting Nawaz either, then what the heck is this london plan!?
IK does say say a few things in josh-e-khitabat which he shouldn't say like the marraige thingy lol and other things which get nitpicked by lifafa anchors and other Anti-PTI people alike..but most of what Imran Khan says is the Truth..like it or not, his actions speak more louder than his words..He puts himself through any test first and then his workers, he's a true leader who can lead pak through this wretched state into making it a successful welfare state.
