Vincent Louis Gigante (jig-AN-tee, Italian:[dʒiˈɡante]; March 29, 1928 – December 19, 2005), also known as "Chin", was an American mobster who was boss of the Genovese crime family in New York City from 1981 to 2005. Gigante started out as a professional boxer who fought in 25 matches between 1944 and 1947. He then started working as a Mafia enforcer for what was then the Luciano crime family, forerunner of the Genovese family. Gigante was one of five brothers. Three of them, Mario, Pasquale, and Ralph, followed him into the Mafia. Only one brother, Louis, stayed out of the crime family, instead becoming a Catholic priest. Gigante was the shooter in the failed assassination of longtime Luciano boss Frank Costello in 1957. Filming took place in December 2022 in Connecticut. It was released on April 26, 2024.

Moira Cole's life was shattered by the slaying of her loved ones by her unhinged and fixated cousin, Lee Morris. She now lives a simple and quiet suburban life with her two grown sons who were also scarred by the tragedy. They are brutally reminded of the murders every October by the successful horror film series based on them.

In December 2022, it was reported that Ante Novakovic signed on to direct the then titled film, The Skulleton, that was written by twins Anthony and James Gaudioso, who also produce and star in the film. Bruce Dern, Tyrese Gibson, Shawnee Smith and Taryn Manning were cast in lead roles.

Principal photography began in early December 2022 in West Hartford, Connecticut for two days. The city serves as the fictional Deep Ridge Falls for the film. Filming moved a few months later to Los Angeles to shoot interior scenes with Dern, Manning, and Smith, before moving back to Connecticut in July 2023 to conclude filming.

Plot

Jakob Seel (Jeff Stewart) struggles with his growing sense of worthlessness after he is dismissed from his position as a teacher in a Soviet village. A neighbor asks him to say a prayer at the funeral of her brother. He agrees, even though he knows it is illegal. Jakob is reported and he is arrested by the secret police later that night. They take him from his daughter and granddaughter, Marta (played by Chloe Roe).

Thrown into prison, Jakob and his fellow political prisoners find themselves under the heel of the ruthless warden: Nikolai (played by Christopher Elliott). Unknown to them, Nikolai has an old vendetta against Jakob. One by one, during the night, prisoners mysteriously disappear.
