    Actor Rajith Menon considers versatile filmmakers like Balachandra Menon and Sreenivasan as his idols.
    “They are not only talented actors, but exceptionally gifted directors and screenplay writers,” says Rajith, who adds that like his idols, he too would love to dabble in different aspects of filmmaking. And he is all set to take the plunge, by making his debut as a director with a musical short film titled Love Policy.The six-minute short film with three scenes features Aju Varghese and Sritha Sivadas in the lead.
    “It was during the shoot of Marthandan’s Daivathinte Swantham Cleetusthat the idea of a short film struck me. Music composer Sreejith and Sachin of Yuvvhfame, cinematographer Vinod Illampally and Run Baby Runeditor Shyam Sashidharan helped me realise my dream,” he says. Actress Remya Nambeesan and playback singer Suraj have crooned the song for Love Policy, which will hit the screens in February.
    So, is he planning to take a break from acting? “No, acting is always my priority,” says Rajith, who is currently shooting for his Telugu movie Golden Chance, in which he plays a prominent role. He will soon start working on his second outing in Kollywood too.
    However, the actor says he is yet to receive a good offer from Malayalam, which is as interesting as his two other projects. “I am ready to wait for a good script,” he signs off.

    Abstract

    Globally, phosphor converted white-LEDs (W-LEDs) are among the most suitable sources to reduce energy consumption. Nevertheless, modernization of efficient broadband emitting phosphors is most crucial to improve the W-LED performance. Herein, we synthesized a series of novel broadband emitting Sr2−xAl3O6F:xEu phosphors via a new microwave-assisted diffusion method. Rietveld refinement of the obtained X-ray diffraction results was performed to recognize the exact crystal phase and the various cationic sites.     The recent controversy that involved director Anil Radhakrishnan Menonand actor Bineesh Bastin, who alleged that the filmmaker had refused to share stage with him at an event in Government Medical College, Palakkad, also had another casualty — Rajith Menon. The actor, who made his debut in Kamal’s Goal, was trolled and abused on social media after many mistook him for the filmmaker’s son, thanks to incorrect information on the Internet.
    While Anil’s son’s name is Rajat, Google throws up Rajith’s profile as the search result.The actor, who was on a vacation to Singapore and Malaysia with wife Sruthi Mohandas to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, was in for a rude awakening on November 1.
    Rajith tells us, “As we were on a vacation, we detached ourselves from all news updates. But when my wife posted a photo on her social media page, there were comments abusing me. We ignored it first and later I started getting messages like ‘Shame on your father Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’. I was perplexed by them because I had met him only once or twice in the industry and I am not related to him. After that, some of my friends sent me screenshots of the misinformation on Google search, in which I am mentioned as the son of Anil Radhakrishnan Menon. My father is Ravi Menon and he is leading a retired life at our house in Thrissur.”
    As a victim of cyber-bullying, the actor says, he feels embarrassed that he got dragged into an issue, only due to his surname. Rajith took to his social networking page to inform the public about his identity and his parents.
    Despite his efforts to explain himself, he says that some people outrightly refused to believe him. “We got the contact number of a person who had posted a misleading post mentioning Anil Radhakrishnan as my father.
